Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.
-Exodus 21:17
The Bible is supposed to instill morals and values in children as they grow up in the Christian faith.  The problem is that the tactic is frequently fear-based, and God wastes no time teaching children very harsh lessons for breaking the rules.  The Bible illustrates time and time again that God is pro-death penalty, and even children are subject to this cruel and archaic form of punishment.  For example, the Bible goes to pretty extreme lengths to emphasize that you should respect your elders, offering kids a shortcut to meet their maker if they fail to follow these strict teachings.

Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel.  As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him.  "Go away, baldy!" they chanted.  "Go away, baldy!" Elisha turned around and looked at them, and he cursed them in the name of the LORD.  Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of them.
